2013 Detroit AutoRama
The 2013 Detroit AutoRama is in the books. What a great show for all Hot Rod lovers. They have something for every car lover. From top show cars to the traditional Hot Rods, race cars, and even movie themed vehicles…
This year the 2013 Detroit AutoRama was celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Ridler Award. This year the AutoRama was kicked off with a crackelfest, in front of Cobo Hall. This show keeps getting better, and better. All I can say is be sure you wear your comfortable shoes, because you are going to do a lot of walking, there is just so much to see.
Beautiful Hot Rods
There was Ridler’s Row where the past 50 years winners could show their cars. We just love the race cars, and this year it was great to see two of Al Bergler’s Hot Rods. The first Ridler winner the “More Aggravation”, dragster, and his funny car “Motown Shaker” Two beautiful nostalgia Hot Rods.
There was also an area that displayed three of the Batman vehicles. From the Batman TV show along with the Batman movies.
Downstairs you can see lots of great old time Hot Rods along with some other interesting things. Gene Winfield had a “Chop Shop” set up giving lots of demonstrations on chopping your hot rod. There is so much going on from art work, T-Shirts, hats, and other nostalgia items for sale it’s impossible to list everything.
If you haven’t been to the Detroit AutoRama you need to put it on your schedule for next year. It’s a great safe event to bring you whole family and enjoy the day.
